Help identifying problem on V9
Help identifying problem on V9 –

Hi,
A friend of mine asked me to mod his ps2 a V9 model, i had never done a V9 before but was well aware of laser problem's so i put a Matrix Infinity and did the romeo mod, checked everything as i usualy do no shorts, everything seemed fined, problem is after i power it up i got no image, with no image i mean the tv just flickered changed to RGB mode but then all i got was the regular blue screen the tv displays when it has no signal, also some weird noises started to come out of the drive. Rechecked instalation again and found no problem's removed chip and LA mod and the problem still remains.
Took some measurements at the coils and got 5.0 on the focus and 3.2 on the tracking i assume the later one is dead, don't know about the LA chip.
Now my question is, does the no image problem result from the coil/possible LA burnout or is something else. Also the eject button works fine, but i got no spin if i put a disc inside.
Any thoughts would be apreciated.

thx a lot summ0ne for the tip actually it wans't a cutted track but a small short between point g and one the adjacent tracks, scraped the laccquer off the tack as well. Now another problem has arrived, after reasembly of the thing the console worked ok, then i shutted it off and i didn't got on again red led then green for a short time red again, checked fuse ps14 and it was blown (what could caused it?) replaced fuse and now it's working ok for about 30 min, will test for more time, also about the tracking coil as i told it measured 3.2 but laser seem's to work just fine, any worries i should have about this?
Thx once again

3v chips will blow ps14 occasionally.
I just short it with a piece of thin wire.
