Help with DMS3 install on 10000 Please

I've gone over and over again my connections and I cannot figure out why I can not get the DMS3 to boot. I just get a black screen. I can turn the DMS3 off by holding the eject button for a second, and it runn originals fine, but when I turn the chip back on, nothing just a black screen and it wont boot. Any body have any ideas on what could be wrong?

one of your wires looks to big. mine are all quite fine.

is that a version 2 if not the u have one of those bad batch chips when dms 3 first released

It is a version 2.

I was wondering if the ground wire is too long and I should switch it to pad that is just to right of the chip?

the pcb is aqua...

v1.0+ area all bright green..

Ok. I shortened my ground wire to the pad to the right of my chip and it boots now. Now I've decovered that it wont boot with a memory card inserted. Does any one know the cure for this?

I've got a question in regards to the install. Should we use the chip placement as Starrunner has it, or use the suggested Messiah 2 placement for the chip, which is near the bottom of starrunner's pic, above the pad?

The reason I ask is that DMS's install pics for the other versions show chip placement, while the JAP 10000/15000 doesn't.

u can place the chip where as long it's not on top of any componenents
