Help: Determine What Kind Of Mod Chip is Installed On Your PS2

A Simple Yet Not So Simple Question,,

I recently bought a PS2 NTSC/J 9000 Series And I pretty Much have no idea or what so ever what kind Of modchip is installed on my system..

Here's What i See

The Boot Logo when you insert a PS2 Game/ Burn PS2 Game Disc:

PLAYSTATION 2 (the normal boot) without matrix infinity on it

When I Try To Insert Burn DVD Movies

(To recognize/read the disc) i press the reset button and hold Circle oR
I Press Reset Twice

When I Put Original DVD Movies on It (Region 1)
It Gives Me Restriction That I cannot play that Disc (region Compatibility)

PS one Disc /PSX
I Press Reset Twice To able to play


What kind of Modchip do i have..?? Thanx for Te Reply...

don't know. easiest way would be to open up the ps2, take a picture of the chip, post it, and we can find out easier.

why playstation cannot read dvd pirate movies some dvd can play but there no sound in many in or 12 in 1.
ps2 have disc or software for that to read a dvd movie pirate?? like a sms can play mp3, avi, mpeg , jpeg.
i want to play dvd movie

you stop to think that it may be the source of the pirate dvd's? if 1 in 12 plays correctly, its something you're doing wrong, or it's the person who you're getting them from is at fault. Sill can't get it, I suggest a retail DVD player.
