Help on deciding which modchip to buy

My PS2 is a v7 (SCPH-39001), I bought it used from a friend of my dad, I've had it for about a year and a half, so I'd guess it is about two or three years old now. All I really want my modchip to do is play PS2/PSX backups, I'm not going to be loading any homebrew software or anything like that.

I'm going to get the chip installed by the people over at www.modchipman.com, their office is about 20 minutes from my house, and from what I've heard a PS2 modchip install is even harder than an Xbox one, and I really don't want to mess anything up. So the install difficulty doesn't really matter to me, because I won't be doing it myself

anyways pretty much all mod chip will let you play backups if that is all you are wanting. duo2se, sub zero are cheap and good reliable chips that will meet your needs that i recomend

so you decide since there is a huge selection of mod chips that are in the market
