help dead ps2

after doing my first magic 3 after 50 sucessful messaih/magic 2,s
i have hit a major problem

symtoms:
power light lit
NO eject light/NO eject
NO laser spin at all

i have took the chip out cleaned the board pal v7 yet i still have
this problem


help needed bad

when you press the power button does it stay red?
Check your fan and PSU.

Very simple.
The fuse at the center has blown out. (PS14 on V7)
-[reffer to charlie_ps2's fuse charts for versions other than V7]-

This was likley due to a bridge.
I have had this problem before and so did others.
check that PS14 fuse with a multimeter by placing one pin of the mulimeter in one side and other on the other side of the fuse to see if its blow out. If its good check the rest of the fuses and the BA chip.

If the fuse has blow out find the fuse/similar fuse from a broken ps2/psx board.

...what is this BA chip, your talking about? is it on the CD drive? or the main board??

where is charlie's fuse chart? i searched for it, but couldnt find it. I am pretty new to modding, Maybe it would be easier if I could send this to somebody to fix for me(?) Do you know anybody who could do this?

What does a FUSE on a PS2 look like??
