I have a version 1 U.S. PS2, and from what I read to get to the back of the motherboard chip, I first have the de-solder 4 post's that are located on the board attached to the backside of the motherboard (sorry if I have totally confused anyone). My main question on it is how do I go about de-soldering the posts sticking up? No matter what I do, I cant get all of the solder around each post. Is there some kind of tool that I am suppost to use or what. Please help a newbie in dire need.
(BIG)P.S. If anyone lives in New Jersery that can help finish installing a mod chip I would be thankful ( of course a payment). Would prefer if they lived in the or near Morris County area in Northern Jersey, because I would prefer to take the motherboard to someones house or buisness then take all of the disassembled pieces or mail them. Well if anyone could help that would be awesome, otherwise its just trial and error (no biggy ).
