Heatgun on warranty labels... –

Since there's a few threads about warranty labels about, i thought i'd ask this question to see if i get a reply that could be helpful to these people.
Has anyone tried removing them with a heat gun? when ever i have to remove a sticker off something i always use a heatgun, cause it almost always doesn't leave behind any residue. and i think the 'void' thing that's left behind when u take the sticker off is the residue. So it might come off cleanly if u use a heat gun?
anyone willing to give it a go?

i've tried it twice.
the first time, it worked quite well. the key is LOTS of heat (but be careful).
the second time, it wasn't as successful, but still salvageable.
Holding on to the label is tricky. i used tweezer, and they kept slipping off.
when the label goes back on, it looks okay. to compare with a factory applied sticker, you could probably notice the difference. (at least on my job).
