Is heat something to worry about?
After many long hours and attempts, I put a working DMS3 in my V4 PS2. During the process, I took apart and reassembled my ps2 many times. I never turn my ps2 off, I always just have it in standby (red light) and I have noticed that even after it hasnt been used in a while, it remains rather warm on the bottom. Is this a bad thing? I noticed the heatsinks and the rubbery pads that touch the emotion engine among other chips, and there doesnt seem to be much grease on them. I don't remember if my ps2 was warm before the mod or not, so maybe its just normal. does anyone know for sure though? if the heat is a bad thing, should i apply a little thermal grease to the chips touching the thermal pads?
