I haven't been on this board for quite some time now hehe (school definately sucks :lol: )...
So, what's that thing about the US HDD with modchip, DNAS being cracked? Does that have any affect to people like me, who have a 15k PS2 (DMS3) and an external HDD? Are there any major differences? Is it possible to load the PS2 with HDD and DMS3 turned on? :confused:
Can I boot backups of japanese PS2 games and play them online?
It won't affect you....per se, but you will be able to boot the HDD, as long as BB Nav 0.30 is not installed with the DMS on.Quote:

You will be able to boot backups of Japanese games online, but the problem is getting the original disc id so that you can patch the DNAS files.
Hm, what are the advantages from BB Navi 0.3, compared to 0.2?
Don't remember...think it was better media support. besides....you wouldn't be able to properly access the sony site because it would force you to update anyways.
And what about online games? Do you mean I can only play japanese games online?
Yes of course you can only play japanese games online with a japanese ps2. And yes .30 is much better then .20. Also if you get a v0 scph-10000, 15000, or 18000, when you don't want to boot the HDD you can simply remove the memory card with the HDD drivers and boot the ps2. Then if you want to have the HDD, boot the ps2 with the DMS in sleep mode.

Depends on the game. Besides...if you install the tray-switch like I did....you can always do a swap with an original import game to play online. :p
I don't really understand... could you tell me more in detail? Tray switch? And what games d'you mean?
and why doesn't 0.30 Navi work with DMS3?
