I will put this straight
I hav this backup( SPlinter cell) dont know whether is it a NTSc one or PAL version
I had put Ar2 v2 codes for both that is NTSC and PAl to make this game work with cheats
But the problem arises here that when i boot this game
It immediately gets hanged on checking MEM CARD screen which is the first screen where game loads
This game just gets hanged there and doesnot load
Pleez help me guys to work this game with cheats

i think theres a protection on Splinter Cell..dont think this problem happens with Messiah2 or DMS3, what chip do you have?

He posted this prob in this thread. He mentions he has a magic chip. Apple Pro also gets by this prob.

Well since I don't have a setup like yours, it is hard to help. Just try different things such as not having a memory card inserted sice it freezes when check for one.

nothing you can do with a magic chip, the ICE code fixes this, but i'm assuming you don't have a programmer to rewrite the scenix chip

Yes bighaap i tried everything from taking out my MEM card
Tryiing cheats for PAL AND NTSc both
But no solution
DID u hav a problem booting this game with cheats

on v7 it red screens after the memcard check. don't know what could be wrong with your v5 that it hangs, maybe a bad burn?

No i hav a V5/v6

I just found that if my game is PAL then i would hav to use ar2 v2 2.21 or greater but i hav Ar2 v2 2.1

And also i just checked my backup and found that the DVD base has written on it NTSc
SDoes it prrove that its a NTSc game
But for an NTSc game u dont need any kind of higher Ar2 v2 version
Then y still its not working if its a NTSC game

take off your pal codes, and see if it boots, even if it doesn't give you cheat codes, just see if it boots...i think the pal codes are patching wrong spots in the memory causing it to freeze.
BTW ...99% likely if it works on your US tv it's NTSC, most tv's can't handle PAL colors.
