Harddrives...

Do you have to put the official Sony HDD that they released ... is that the only HDD that the PS2 will recognize... or can u put any HD in? ... ??

edit* btw i have a Matrix Infinity 1.75 if that helps

Most maxtor and seagate hd will work.

Or any HD for that matter if you want to mod the network adapter. Most computer places here have WD's it seems, so my partner has become a master at moding the adapter to take any HD within a few minutes now.

just get a maxtor or seagate it fits right in and u can get more memory on them than the offical sony hdd that only has 40gb
