    finished installing it..

    doesnt work.. :\

so.. from standby, by pushing reset button it goes to sony menu.. original games don't work.. red screen

from standby, by pushing open tray button, it stays black

the disc tray opens so.. chip related.. but witch wires?

    I suppose it's the small dvd points on the back? 4 wires G H B I ... or not?

I've put hot glue on those .. maybe they broke off their solder points while soldering on the other side? ..

Hot glue shouldnt be used to keep connection. You should only use solder. I recommend you send your ps2 to a professional who can neatly install it for you.

I did use solder lol.. I applied hot glue afterwards to keep them in place before soldering them to the chip on the other side

that's the third ps2 I've done.. first one with those very small connections.. and first one with problems.. I know I know it's only my third one

do you think that, considering the ''tests'' I've done, that the problem may be caused by one of those wires? or it's somewhere else?

are you saying that my soldering sucks on that pic? I'd like advices for those point to solder them properly instead please

Not a bad Via solder job i have seen and hird of installers from this sigh do alot worse then that.. Tony is a good installer same with me netmech and norcal thus far that i culd recomend for an install.

What you are discribiing sounds more liek a nano bios briged point or wires on the rong legs remove bios wires cleen bios legs with braid then retouch each point then pretin wire dip in flux paste then solder to chip then to corasponding point on chip do this one by one as you dont want to put in rong spot. Also the best way to do those via points it to lightly scrape them with a raser blade till dull coper becomes shine then place solder over via point then pres iorn on the solder 2seconds max untill the via is pretined. then pretin wire with very little solder dip in paste flux then place in center of pretin via and touch you iorn very lightl to the wire you shuld she sloder go down to via point. 2 second max and use a 15w irorn .. i still use my 10yerold raido shack iorn for all my mod insalls and some reair from boched installs.. Good luck!!
