hi guys, i have a version 7 with a H20 modchip, it sort of works ok. but it has several problems.
there was a problem with the laser and it died like 2hrs after chip install and i was only using ps2 originals so i replaced the sanyo laser with a seconhand 400c and it plays all ps2 original media but when i insert a psx original it sometimes doesnt play them and if it does its only when i access it through the browser and it displays it in black and white...but if i try a back up of a psx it works straight away...it also self boots ps2 back ups with out problems....

i have tried adjusting the white cogs front top to bottom and made no difference i have tried cleaning the laser, i also checked and adjusted the pots and set them both to 1200ohm's, but i wonder if there is different settings for this laser in this model...another thing is that when you power it on you can here the laser trying to focus for several seconds and the time it takes to auto boot is when it gets to the browser selection then it boots......

if there are any fixes that people know about that may help me please let me know......or maybe different install recomendations...
