I modded my v12 with a H20 yesterday,
When everything was installed and connected again it wont read disks!
It spins up the cd and then makes 3 short "reading sounds" twice. Then it goes to the browser. When u go in the browser it saids eror reading disk. I checked the resistors and they where fine. Resolderd every point and still the same problem. Does anyone have an idea what this could be?
have you checked to see if the laser is clouded if it is it,s fried .
its not clouded. I also disconnected the ground on the chip to see what it would do without the chip. I get rsod so thats good. I also took out the v12 fix.. still no luck :(
I yust put in the another H2O and still the same problems so it's not the chip. Im gonna solder the whole thing again. The wires dont have a good layout now they cross and so.
ok i removed the chip, removed all the leftover solder and still the same problem! anyone have an idea??
