I've just fitted a h2o chip - all psx and ps2 backups and originals boot fine. If I try and boot my launchelf cd for the network adapter, the ps2 boot up and displays the playstation/scee logo and hangs there. I've tried the launchelf cd in a v9 - works. also the hdd works in the v9 as well. im trying to get this working on a v3
does the h20/launchelf work on a v3?
any idea's why it doesnt work- ive also tried booting with the hdadvance cd - also hangs. :cry:
Update: I've tried booting off a working execftp cd as well - no go. I'm beginning to suspect a bug in the h2o.
I have successfully booted a hdadvance 3 cd and then formatted the drive. The problem is now i cannot launch any thing from the cd/mc to copy the iso's to the hdd
check the laser condition
if its a V4 < its the laser

nope - same problem. Its not the laser - it reads everything fine.
Just tried another h2o on a v7 - everything boots fine, but also no DEV1 mode - I ain't going to install another h2o!!
