I installed the H20 mod into my V7 PS2 and everything works great with backups and originals and movies, etc...

However, getting into DEV1 mode is often unreliable only really possible when the unit has been cold started after being off for several minutes. Is there some special trick to the reset button pushing sequence? I follow the "push until the video appears" and then tap once to get to DEV1 mode.

Is the latest ICE team "FINAL" code posted here better in this respect? Or will I have to get a Matrix or Crystal chip if I want this to work better? Thanks.

it does take some skill to do it.

for me this procedure works EVERY time:
    1. console off for at least 5sec
    2. hold reset till video.
    3. wait 2 sec (if you tap too soon - it does not go into dev mode)
    4. tap reset
