when you stick this H20 in a V12, it dont fit very well beneath the metal plate, what do you normally do about that? just bolt the plate ontop of it with insulation tape and hope it dont break the chip or what?

I fit my chip like this, never problem with faceplate.
espen, is that a pic of your install, if so just wondering why you use a subzero fix with the H20 when it has the fix built into the chip.
cheers
I dont have the resistors for the h20 chip, and since the motherboard was 683 smd i decided to install a subzero instead.Originally Posted by dungbeetle46

its all starting to make sense now LOL
Beside, I have to admit. I dont like solder on those small ass resistors anyways. If i do the resistors i replace them with 100k instead of adding any. Find that much easier.
I have some stock on the subzero fixes too so i dont mind wasting them![]()
ive tried that and the chip hits in the plate, im worried if i tighten the screws of the plate it might break a resistor on the boards.Originally Posted by EspeN
what do you use to hold the chip in place? and do you put insulation tape under it or something?
how bout mounting it here? will th elong leads stuff it up?

I put my h20 chips where espen has put the date and havent had any issues
I put double sided tape under chip and after finished and checked put insulation tape over top
thanks, i might put it where the date is and see what happens.
