    hi guys

just installed a h20 into a v12 and applied the onboard fix and the 560 resistor.

got a few probs, when booting from stby it goes to a black screen and hangs there, if reset is then pressed it boots but only to rsod

when it does boots it will boot originlas ok

looked at all the wires and they look ok

now on mi clones i've noticed it gives you a few clues, infinity 1.38 logo comes up, can i disable and the 10 sec delay before the chip boots, all of which telll you the some of the chip is correctly installed

are there any fault finding methods i can do on the h20? does it have a delay when no controller is connceted or a disable function??

i cut through the track by the k point as advised by summone, if i hadn't fully cut through the track could this give rsod??

    cheers guys

Sounds like something is not properly installed.
How is your ground wire? Thick?

Yes, you can see on chips when u turn on ps2 that the black screen is a little longer and it flicker ones. If RSOD u should check DVD/CD points a,b,g,h,i, and such.

If BLACK screen check bios points.
U can disable H20 by holding in RESET. This is also a good trouble shooting method. If the console boots disabled, u know there aint no bridges but something is ****ed up on the bios points most likely.

Ive troubleshooted like that on mars and magic s+. I had lot of probs with black screen with magic s+ (shit chip! worst ever), but never had any with the h20.

ok i've taken a pic and attached it, pls let me know if you can see anything

i've noticed that if i put the pstwo into standby then boot it it goes to the black screen and hangs, but then if i hit reset it boots to the rsod every time

i'm sure this must point to somnething??

i've tried to disable but nothing happens does disabled actually come up on screen??

i would try a modbo i have but i've cut the track now so have to stick with the h20

It could just be a trick of the light, but something looks "off" about your R wire, like it's a dry joint.

I'd grab a multimeter and make sure that none of your connections are bridged. I also noticed that the resistor you added may be shorting - as it's sticking out past the piece of electrical tape that you've put underneath it.

But I would definitely swap your 'W' & 'R' connections - as you've got them backwards. I would guess this is what's causing your problem.

Yeah. W & R are wrong installed as modicullus claim. If u dont have multimeter, u should get one its a must during ps2 installation.
It dosent matter if u cut track u can wire it back on from spot A to spot B. Just use a wire.,

i do have a multimeter, if i needed to check would i just put it between the two points and check for resistance to see if any bridges were present??
