nope it wont its a hox no ice code can do that nor will it do macrovison off. Told summon this when he seid it wuld on subzero chips but he never changed info..Havent tested new H20+ as first batch was pulled.
Well from all the info they had plastered over the subzero site I thought that "region free dvd " would mean "region free dvd". Just goes to show my late grandfather was right when he used to tell me "BELIEVE NOTHING OF WHAT YOU READ AND HALF OF WHAT YOU SEE" Thanks crans , But I don't mind saying I'm a bit pissed off.
hmm.. I when did you read that? I can't see anything about it on his site now.. the only thing I see is about the H20+ and it says:
"Not only has the reliability of the modchip significantly increased with the new hardware, but now it will be possible to add new features like DVD-region FREE and later in new products also CD/USB flash upgrades ;-)"
Yes , well he has changed the info on the site Which is good but it's of no use to me because I've already purchased the chips. He should have put the right info on the site in the first place. Mind you I am happy with the chips I have got but if you buy something and it doesn't do everything that the seller claims it does you feel a little ripped off. Anyway I know the right info now so I'll get over it.
buy a cheap regoin free dvd player for $20 dollars and leave the ps2 for game playing duh duh
Yeah, do what redrum says. Your PS2's laser life is limited. Would it be better to play games on the laser for an extra XXX hours (say, 200) or DVD movies? I know which one makes the most sense!
Hi redrum30 and shepd , You don't seem to get my point. I don't play dvd movies on my ps2 (very rarely). But if I install a chip into a persons ps2 and they have read on the chips main site that it supports all region dvd and when they get it home and it wont work , they sometimes get a bit cranky. Especially when they particularly want to use this feature.
I understand what you're saying, cleo... It sucks and there's probably not a lot you can do about it (except, of course, inform your customers of the mistake). If a customer complained too much to me about it, I suppose I might pick them up a $20 DVD player from WalMart... but that's just me.
But, honestly, using your PS2 to play DVDs is just plain dumb. Every single PS2 that I've installed lasers into (or been unable to install them because they aren't made any more) the customer answers "Yes, this is my primary DVD player..." Heheheh... Me, considering the dreadful image quality the PS2 outputs when playing DVDs, a $20 junk player from WalMart is still 10x better. And it handles the equally junk DVD-Rs these customers always seem to buy -- 100 DVD-R for only $9.99????!?!!!! HOW CAN I POSSIBLY LOSE!?!?!?!!!
Yeah , Trying to convince people to buy good media !! What a battle. "I know you told me to buy this brand but these were 50 cents less" and then it's " What have you done to my ps2 it's not playing my back-ups "
Anyway that's life . Cheers
