guys look at this chip !

i have been sent a few samples of this chip (so called "v1.88 upgradable"). it's claimed to be firmware upgradable. ok, i installed this chip in a v13 and lately in a v14. the chip worked fine just as modbo chips would do.

i copied the upgrade firmware (an elf file sent by my supplier) into a memory card and excuted it via dev1 mode. wow! the upgrade process went successful ! i then went to the config. manual and found the firmware is v1.93now which was v1.88 before the upgrade.

MI clone yes it is. they said it supports v1-v15 but i doubt it would work properly with v1-v3.

Doesnt look too bad,Im personally playing with with MODBO4 PRO at the moment, did you try that chip on V9 and below?

not long ago, i posted a little review for that modbo4.0 pro. http://www.psx-scene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51094
the only thing i don't like is that you can't save the config manual. that's all.

My only question is, can you sell me some?

I have found it damn near impossible to get MI chips anymore which really bums me out, as I love them.
