Guilty Gear X2 Frezing on Messiah 2 Pro V7

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone else is having trouble with Guilty Gear X2 with Messiah 2 Pro. It will play for about 2 matches then act like its loading then stop and stay on a black screen. Is there some patch to fix this? All other games work perfect. Any help id appreciate.

Hello,

Its a Backup mate...no other games I have burned to the same media do this, just the one. Im not sure if a patch is needed. This is on a NTSC V7 machine with Messiah 2 Pro bought from you and installed by a pro. Any suggestions M8

I take it that this is a CD game? Is it a DVD rip?

Well rips are a total crap shoot and are just about the only circumstance where it is near impossible to provide support. If the rip was not constructed correctly, anything can happen at any time. It can go so far and then hit an invalid LBA and that's it.

If it's the Kallisto rip, they didn't really fix the music tracks they removed from the game to get it to fit on a CD -- "Suck a Sage" and "Haven't You Got Eyes in Your Head?" are gone. As a result, the game will always hang on a black screen after fighting Chipp or Slayer, though the match with them is fine (albeit with no music). Discovered this as I primarily use Dizzy, for whom Chipp is always the first opponent in Story Mode. I've been sticking to my copy of Guilty Gear XX as a result of this. Is this similar to what you're facing?
