I had to put the PS2 in suspend mode and turn it on again to be able to load other CD's.

    That's strange...

    Greets!
Not strange at all as the PS2 has never been able to boot or load CD-RW discs. The laser can't handle them...

The success rate for the "non-working" backups that I have re-burned is now 5 out of 5 (100%) !!
Of the ones that is not working, can you tell me what its in its cue file.

ie backup disc to hard disk and post the cue file information here thanx.

Is anyone having problems with PSX CD-R games???

I have no DVD-Rips, only CD originals backed up onto CD-R. And I've had no problems with PSX CD-R games (but I only have 3 to test).

I tried to post one of the .CUE files last night but my post didn't make it. Anyway:

I re-burned one of the non-working games from the ORIGINAL .bin/.cue that I had made when I first backed it up, and it worked fine.

I'm starting to think this is some obscure issue with my burners and/or software that has caused this. Right now I cannot make a non-working CD-R backup.

It is significant, however, that the Apple modded v7 cannot boot these backups that the Messiah modded v4 and the no-solder modded v5 CAN. There may be something odd about the way they were burned, but only the Apple modded v7 has a problem with them.

I believe that the Apple is a very simular Chip to the Magic2 I had a Burn of Frequency, I would get RED screen Every time, I could not get it to work at all

Put the same disk in my friends V5, after the AR2 screen used the No_Mod method, And it booted firdt time I don't understand either. It obviously Cant have been the image, or media coz it worked fine and all my other CD-rs are on the same media ??

I can only boil it down to the chip, I dunno how to remedy it but you could always try booting after Action replay or something, I know thats kinda a pain but worth it if it works
