Hi,
I have a chipped ps2 with either magic 2 or 3 chip (can't remember which), I bought the original gran turismo 4 today and the ps2 won't play it, does anyone know if the chip stops the ps2 reading dvd9? or what i can do, or it might be the messia 2 i got it chipped 2 years ago now though

Magic 2/3.x does not support DVD9. Also you cannot switch these off. You may reprogram the Magic with the iCE code, if you have access to a programmer, otherwise you better get a new chip.

I have a magic chip (must be a newer one) and the original gt4 works fine as long as you turn off the mod chip at boot time

Original Messiah 2 supported DVD9, Messiah 1 officially did not as I remember correctly. The clones were rather questionable, I doubt they supported it.
