I mistakingly bought one after reading about all the features and it never even worked. Bought a much cheaper DUO2 and it worked first time.

Yah the first G2 I installed was acting the same way. Fortunately, the subsequent installs went much smoother; one in a regular PS2 and one in a slim. It's a decent chip, but if you don't need those features just get a Duo. In a nutshell, if you can't list all of the features of the modchip you're thinking about, chances are you're buying the wrong chip.
