GH-071-42 Issues –
Just wondering if any of you can shed light on a bit of an issue i have.
I recently installed a Duo 3 Ultra on a GH-071-42 PS2. I must have at least insalled 50+ of them with no issues, but one in particular is driving me nuts.
Some backups load and some don't. Some originals load, and some don't. It never brings up the red screen to tell me the disc is not ps2 but the screen goes black for a while and then goes to dvd type menu.
I have tried replacing the chip but no success, tried reinstalling it at least 3 times, no success.
Any idea anyone?
have u tried to boot originals without chip?
Yep, originals work fine with and without the chip. I can also disable the chip when ps2 is booting up. Gonna try buying some decent flux remover maybe that is the issue. Really Frustrating!!
Just to let you all know that the issue has been resolved. it had nothing to do with the modchip. Unfortunately the lens wasn't calibrated the best it could have been. as a matter of fact even some original games weren't running properly without modchip. After several hours of testing and tweaking it's now all nice and dandy.
Im having a similar issue. Mind sharing what settings your calibrated the pots to?
