Hey,
Sorry if this info is out there somewhere but I can't seem to find any definitive answers.
I installed a Modbo 4.0 into a SPCH 77001 PS2 with a GH-052-12 motherboard and its like the chip isn't there. It still boots and plays original games, but I don't see the chips boot logo and can't access any config menus.
I used the attached install diagram as it was the closest match to what I was working with. One other issue was that my chip has an 'F' pad. I used some info from one of the threads on here to try and find a spot for it. Also, the main chip on the mod chip itself seems to have some bridged pins. This is the second chip I've ordered and they both came like that so I don't know if it is supposed to be that way.
The photos make my soldering look pretty ugly, which it is, but under a x30 loupe the joints look alright - with no bridging that I could see.
