GH-005 wont boot PSX –
03-02-2004,08:10 PM
I have a Ver 1 PS2 with a Smartchip installed.
PS2 originals, DVD rips, Backups, DVD, DVD-R/ DVD+R and DVD movies all boot.
PSX originals and backups will not boot.
I even disabled the chip still no boot. I disconnected the SCEX point, still no boot.
I thought i had it booting PSX when I first installed 2 months ago, but honestly cant remember if I tested this unit or not.
I was also pleased to find out that it would play DVD+R, I did not think I was supposed to be able too.
What could be causing the PSX issue?
OH, it boots psx to the PS2 blue/gold disk screen.

yes, PS2 works fine,
Got pissed off and removed chip, (bad mistake) Pad came off of SCEX point. If you now which pin on the Smartchip itself is, I can just solder to the Leg of that.
