game hacking and homebrew chips
game hacking and homebrew chips –

i do some game hacking that for the most part requires me to possibly edit a few scirpts, burn, then pray it works. i dont use dvds since it could be expensive testing with a new disk each time. so i moved on to copying the games to my harddrive and using hdl. now this to is becoming a pain in my ass.
anyway, i was thinking it might be helpful to copy my modded games to a dvd-rw and test like that. i noticed there were only a few chips that support dvd-rw and the ones that do usually say they are a "homebrew" edittion.
so i guess my question is what exactly does a homebrew chip allow me to do and would it be usefull to my situation?
