funny problem with v12 pal

hi all

i have a v12 that will play cds with out a problem but as soon as i put a dvd in it switches it self off. backups or originals. i have a matrix infinity installed
has been working fine for 6 months about 3 hours use every two or three days

any help please

The problem is from the pic fix.
remove this fix and put a real ( sumeone fix ) .
REMOVE THIS FIX NOW

so does this mean the laser is stuffed or is the fix causing the problem.

i swap the laser with known working one and everything worked fine

so what should i do replace the laser with a new one remove the pic fix
and do the sumeone fix or is my old laser ok and should i just change the
fix

what if you just change the fix and then try again?
EspeN said it's the fix so...

you can always change your laser if it still doesn't work
