my buddy just installed his magic 3.1 into his version 7 ps2. He has installed many chips before but this time he went to boot up the ps2 and it turns on but is only a black screen. I dont think the video/audio is working. Everything is hooked up properly so i dont if u guys have ever of this.

hope its nothing major.

also check for bridge points also check fuse with a multi meter

yeah both the lights come on on the front. i can open the door and everythihng.. just no picture.

just sounds like a blown fuse test them with a multimeter

Got it to play bought games now just not burnt games. Any ideas?

umm so u got video now? umm is power connected? do psx back up work? wat did u do?

Yup got video now, it plays originals (DVD's and CDs) but not any backups. I just had a loose wire.
