Freezing With MI Chip

Hello, I'm new to the forum but I just got a slimline ps2 with the Matrix Infinity chip. The firmware is the v1.88....but for some reason during certain backup games...the ps2 will freeze. My backup up NBA Live never passes the loading screen. My backup is fine because I tried it in my older ps2 with the DMS3 Pro chip. Advice anyone? Thanks

have you tried cleaning the laser.

Just tried again, it loaded but kept on glitching then going....I'll try making another backup of the game.

Made another backup...works fine. Problem solved. I guess the laser is much more sensitive in the slimline than the regular ps2.
