I recently had a clear blue flip top put on my PS2. It fits prefect and looks great. Not thin, actually kind of thick. However when a game is loading it has problems with the deal on the flip part of the top. It makes a wierd noise and sounds like it is holding the disk back from spinning fast enough. I can pop the top and it will load and run fine but if I put teh top back down it will do the same thing when it loads something. If anyone has a solution to this problems please let me know.
    Thanks

No reason to put the lid down at all. If you runs better with it up, leave it up. Just sounds like some problems with the workmanship of the lid. Don't sweat it. In fact, it's been suggested that SLIMS may run cooler with the lid open.

It is a old style PS2. It isn't the slim style. I ran it with the lid up but wanted to keep it down. But if nobody knows of a rememdy then that is cool.
