Fkd up my ps2 trying to install CC1.1 –
I was trying to install A crystal chip 1.1 in a V5/V6 PS2. (GH-015)
I got solder shorting 2 pins of a IC, and i broke the IC ...
Please take a look at the IC in the diagram:
Its shown as #3 in the diagram... where to sold the dots P,O,M,N ...
This is a bios IC ? Whats is the function of this IC ?
Where can I get one of these?
Thank you very much!
That's the Bios. You're pretty screwed if you broke it. You're going to want to send it to someone who can repair it, or to buy a new motherboard probably, unless you can repair the broken legs yourself. A good snapshot of the disaster area would be helpful.
Yea then its garbage cause the ship is crushed on the half.
Im gonna search for any dead motherboards but I think its hard to find...
Think I will have to get another PS2...
Oh man I screwed up great >.<
i got one, i could sent it to u. its a PAL V-5 though...
Hmmm this is a NTSC V6 i think... would it work?
I dont know anybody or store who would sold the chip in the mobo again...
I think I will just buy one brand new =(
Its easy to repair ?
I've seen stores with motherboards intact. Try ebay too. Don't search for motherboard, just have a look around.
What's the #1 part of a ps2 that dies first, without a single shred of competition? The dvd drive. Once that's gone, the scrap left over sells for dirt cheap.
Problem solved. New bios.
You guys rules!
