    many installers have problem with v9 PS2 stoping read games after some days . ( with Messiah2 , Mars2 , Magic50k , etc.. )
some guys say problem in the mother board "LA , LB" Chips.
because PS2 read "Bad" or dodgy disks.

Guys please post any info about fixing this problem.
If anyone try to fix it ? or exactly what chip is dead ?
and where to buy this chip.

Please post only info about fixing or what you did trying to fix it .

sold a premod, had it for about 5 days, worked fine, however, the reason I think some people have problems is that either they a) put to much glue to hold the wiring down on the cd/dvd controller, in other words the metal plate isnt in close enough contact w/ the controller or b) the metal plate isnt screwed down at all or is not down tight enough to put pressure on the rubber heatsink(s)

dark, I used the CDX Chip Legs as well, didnt have a problem at all, I would not think using the VIAs would make a difference, but you never know. Then again you gotta say to yourself that not alot of people have the skills to use those very close together chip legs

I disagree. Some catastrophic failures had the chip installed using the CDX legs and some with vias.

I beleive it has something to do with the lower fan speed. Thus causing 1 or more components to run a little high in temperature
