fix broken track + what's point Q's function?

After messing about with a DMS3 installation I've been attempting for a few days now, I took everything out last night and managed to find a TINY bit of solder on the chip (not sure which one it is - the one with point D/E on it.

After managing to remove that and testing the PS2, I continued to try and install the modchip from scratch. This was at about midnight so I was getting rather tired, and for some reason my soldering iron seemed to stop working so i turned up the heat, and managed to pull off one of the pads on the underside of the motherboard. It's point Q that has been pulled off... and most of the track along with it. If you follow the track from point Q, you find a little circle... well, the track is off the motherboard from just below the chip above it, right to that little circle.

I'm actually wanting to know a few things:
1 - What does point Q allow the modchip to do? (what data is transferred over the track that passes Q?)
2 - To fix this, I have the idea that I just (try to) attatch a wire from the track just visible under the chip (assuming i can actually get some wire to stick to the REALLY thin track) to the little circle?
3 - If I can't get the wire/solder to stick on the small/thin track, is there any other point I could attatch this to? - I wouldn't really expect to find another point, as the track goes under the chip and I'd assume that it needs to carry data to the chip itself.

if its a v7 u can connect it directly on the chip

The "Q" point is part of the DVD/CD decoder chip signal that goes to the main IC where you've damaged the pad. The pad is only there for test purposes in the factory and you can go by ironsights suggestion by attaching that point to the leg of the IC instead.

yes soldering q back to the pin will work

just make sure you solder it to the correct pin! ;)

I've got a version 5 ps2 atm, so the chip legs aren't exposed enough to solder to

another thing has happened though - on the chip on top of the board:
Somehow, I've managed to also get two legs of the chip (the one you solder the wires to on the top) joined, but the two that are joined have a leg between them and I cant see anything like solder or a little bit of wire that would be joining the legs.
The two chip legs are on the side of points J, K, M and N - the first leg is the one two away from N (not M, two in the other direction) and the one two away from that leg

Then solder it on the via (thats the hole the pad goes to).
Just carefully scratch the top layer of and ad some flux.
For the bridge ,it could be that u measure it trough the chip,so it isnt a bridge but a connection in the chip.
First connect the Q wire and then try the ps2.

I'm not sure what you mean by this... maybe you didnt understand what I posted.
There's the chip (CXP103049) with no legs on the sides of it. If I look under the chip then it's reised off the motherboard a little and I can see the "legs" under it, but I *really* doubt that I could solder anything to those.
The track used to go under this chip. The track extends down and left (at least, if you hold the MB the way I'm holding it) and there's there's a little circle (is this the hole you meant?) at this side of the track.



btw - I've been told that there's not supposed to be a connection, but if i can do this then i'll at least give it a try
