Few questions... about v12 mods

Alright guys I got a bit of a situation here. I think I'm going to be receiving a v12 PSTwo. I would normally get a HDD put it in but I dont wanna install the ide extender kit nor do I think a slow usb hdd and usb extreme would suffice. So I decided to hop into the wonderful world of modding. And after reading that the new, hacked Crystal chip firmware can play backups online... my decision was made right then. I wanna get a crystal chip

. I found it here. So, first of all, would the crystal chip be a bad choice for any reason (I'm not asking for a chip to chip comparison)? And that site gives you a free 'NEO fix chip thingy'... and I was wondering.. is this necessary... or even a good iidea to install? Also, has anyone ordered from that site (mod-chip.com)? I like how they give you a nice pdf install manuel, neo fix, solder (already got it though) and wire (already got this aswell).

It's a very good chip for that price, buy it. I would if I didnt installed a magic 5kx+ in my pstwo. It'a kind of big in size though.

Is that neo laser fix worth the time? Or is there another laser fix that would work better?

summ0ne fix works well although comsoft fix aka slimline fix works good too. Athough the summ0ne focus resistor plus comsoft is the best from what I have heard.
