Do you get the Blue light? Does it flash? Sounds like the controller died or the fuse to it blew.
I get the blue light. when it stops spin it flashes and when u turn it on.
when it flashes it is waiting for the disc to stop spinning and trying to eject. The BA6664 chip control the sled motor and the BA5815 is your disc spin, tracking and focusing as well as eject motor. It would most likely be the BA5815FM has overheating and partly damaged or the eject motor is fried or has a broken tooth.
Is it possible that a fuse is dead?
how can i determine if the BA chip is dead?
replace it. Where is CA are you?
bay area
