I live in Aus and atm getting hold of a messiah 2 is almost impossible. so im stikin with messiah 1
now wot i need 2 kno is whether ps2 dvd9s (orginal & backup) can play on my machine(modded with messiah 1).. as i have read sumwhere that messiah 1s cannot boot dvd9 and from sumwhere else that the modchip has got nuthing 2 do with it??.. so i really hav no idea.. ne1 hav ne opinions?
btw..i have a pal 30002..

May I say that I don't appreciate being prompted by e-mail and PM to answer a technical question just because nobody has seen this thread. It's posted in the wrong place anyway so I've moved it. I'm not your private free of charge consultant.
And what the hell was "Urgent" about this enquiry?
Now to your question. Good decision to stick with Messiah 1. No need whatsoever to move to Messiah 2.
Messiah 1 boots DVD9 directly.

sorry, its because my machine is currently being fitted with the messiah 1 and i have only happened to come across the dvd9 issue now. so i had 2 find out now and let my technician know if i didnt want it anymore. and u seem most eligible to answer the question so i asked u..sorry

Ok apology accepted. Dozens of people knew that answer. I'm glad at least that you are able to proceed with your original plan. Incidentally the Messiah 2 diagrams posted on this forum are good for Messiah 1 ignoring the CLK wire.
