I've got a weird situation here...

I've just installed two Magic2 chips - one in a V4 (35001) machine and the other in a V7 (39001) machine. Both have the same problem though... the video is scrambled.

The V7 machine only has the problem intermittently. It'll play fine for a few seconds, scramble beyond recognition, then play fine again for a few seconds.... yada yada yada... it doesn't work right.

The V4 machine is constantly scrambled when watching video.

    *** They both play games (PS1 originals/CD-R and PS2 originals/CD-R/DVD-R) - no problem

    What's wrong with my install?

Here's a pic I took with my digi-cam to show what I'm seeing

Stupid question from me: Are you playing the PS2 video output through a VCR and then into the TV? If so then it's Macrovision kicking in.

No - It's directly into the TV...

Even if it was the Macrovision kicking in, the Magic 2 is 'supposed' to strip it, right??
