DVD Skipping Problem! –

I just installed a Magic 2 in a 30001R v5 in my ps2 and everything works except the dvd movies skip really bad. I know that I need a capacitor but which one. Also where do install it. Any help would be appreiciated. Thank you

Actually, that link you have is for a non-polarized cap. This may or may not work I do not know. I use a 1uf polarized cap. I dont think Radio Shack has that. Anyway, solder 1 end to the S pad on the chip and then solder the wire going to your S connection to the other lead.
If you can find it, you can use a .47uf - 1uf polarized capacitor.

1uF 35V Tantalum capacitor fro Radio Shack will do the job. As Guichi says, positive towards Magic 2. Can go anywhere in the S line. Prolly easiest to solder the + to the Magic 2 and - to the removed wire; prolly best to put the - to the SCEx point and the + to the removed wire.
Start with the easy route.

I have some old 1uf 100v capacitators from the original PS2 modding days, can I use these for the same purpose?
