DVD Region X for v7 US
DVD Region X for v7 US –

Does anyone have the codes for console v7 (US) to use with DVD Region X? On website there're codes until v2.10 only and on v7 it's v2.12U.
What's the version driver for DVD Player on v6 ? I wonder.
I tried also Multi-region DVD (freeware), but don't works.

What's your version please?
If you don't know how to do this use command prompt and:
G:\>type system.cnf
BOOT2 = cdrom:\SLPS_200.06;1
VER = 2.11
VMODE = NTSC

I used a very old region X (with the dongle...) and it works after putting the update codes.

I'm looking for a solution for v7 only.
All DVD Region X works fine until v6, but not v7.

I have v2.12 AR2v2 for PAL and it dont work, ps2 dvd driver is 2.13A (39002 ps2)
after emailing datel for an update code, i got this crap reply...
"Unfortunately we are not able to publish codes for this version on the net. If you would like to return your disk to us, we can send out a replacement disk which will work with your version of the PS2 console."
what a load of shit, first of all its their duty to publish the codes to continue support of their product, and secondly, who is gonna risk sending their disc to them and expect a new one back without any assurance other than the word from a customer service monkey. very poor service on their part...
so good luck on trying to get the new codes from somewhere

Rhyno, someone in this forums has posted before that Datel, really exchange the disc whitout any troubles, so i don't think that it is a bad custommers service, obviously will be better if we can take the codes on-line.

I can backup maomo's post, Datel has excellent service, its not a small-time company, but an empire that exists for years.
I guess their reply is due to the massive amount of hacked GS2/AR2 that are out there. Lets face it, how many ppl have a new v7 with and old set of AR/GS? Datel will replace the CDs for those users, and can make sure that no new owner of PS2 could use a hacked version of GS, unless he bought it.
