Dvd Problems

I didn't have this problem before on my ps2 but today i put in a dvd movie and it couldn't read it. Next thing I checked were my ps2 cdr's and ps1 cdr's and they worked fine. Real ps2 games will boot only if it's not a dvd cd...

So the problem i'm having is that anything that is on a real dvd will not be read by my ps2. Can any1 help?

Have you tried cleaning the lens with a brush disk?

Yes I have, and the ps2 still can't recognize a dvd...

Does this mean that my lens is finished... even though it can play anything that is cd based?
