DVD Player Is Not Setup?

I have a Magic 2 V7 NTSC Pre-Mod and I get the following message when I try to watch a DVD Movie "DVD Player Is Not Setup"

My Version information is as follows:

Unit: SCPH-39001
Browser: V1.20
CD Driver: V1.20
Playstation Driver: V1.10

Do I need the DVD driver? And if so, where can I get it and how do I get it onto my PS2?

Try to take and install an original sony remote control.
This set have a new drivers to solve the problem

Umm no where on the System Information does it say anything with the word "DVD" in it. And I have tried the DVD Remote and it still did not fix my problem :'(

i got that message vhen i installed magic3.i just resoldered all connections and now i works just fine.its probably the same problem for you.

So that means that I have to get my chip resoldered?

Hey, I had the same problem on my v1 about a year ago... My dvd drivers just "disappeared". I couldn't get them back.. not even using my cd from the sony remote... I had to send it back to a local sony retailer... they couldn't fix it either, so they ended sending me another ps2.. a refurbished v4...

If you got the pre-mod like that, I would suggest you return it and get another one..
