Duo3Ultra chip issues

After 100+ installs of this chip I´ve noticed that you cant play DVD-movie
unless you hold start on the boot-process during startup.And it only happens on SCPH90000 series.I´ve tried almost everything but no sucsess.But games boots perfect

i have the scph-90004 model and i use the duo 3 ultra modchip and it works without problems on movie dvds. sometimes i have to reste the ps to play burned games but thats all...

I`ve tried movies on all of my installs but no luck on the 90000 series.
Not a big problem ´cause it´s still a game consolle but a odd problem.

do you have problem only on this type of chip ? or others as well ?

because i know someone a good one with soldering but i have never heard he even installed a Duo3Ultra he only installed Modbo 3.0 and 4.0 and Magic ,etc..i ask because i think it maybe similar to Modbos chip ..and if yes i may ask him

it is not your install guys...the duoUltra chip cannot run movies, music cd and psx games on the 90000....that chip is only recommended for the big systems...not slimlines.
The duo team never corrected that bug for the 90000 series.

But the problem is only on the 90000 series with Duo3Ultra.When it was back in the old days and the fat Ps2.I have used Duo2SE,Duo2GT,Duo3Gold,Ripper3,Neo,DMS,Ripper4,CC1-2.0 and the Duo3Gold booted movies just fine.And the Duo3Ultra has booted movies on all versions I installed it to exept SCPH90000.Other than that it´s a great working chip.Before that
did I always use Crystal Chip(and only Duo´s if it was only the price that matters) .That´s the best chip that they have made for the Ps2 my thought.Have installed 200+
of the Duo´s and lost count of the Crystals

like I said....the team never updated their codes for the 90000 series...and remember that sony changed the bios config, so some chips will have problems booting movies and what not.
