I got a v4 ps2 before install the chip, I tested it with original games and it goes to broswer screen for 5-10 sec and finally the game boots.

after I installed the duo2se, same thing with original and with backups(both dvd and cd) it goes to RSOD...I tried to put in backup dvd movie, the situation is the same as booting original. Does this mean the laser is worn out or my installation is bad?

Here is the summary of stuff I tried to boot:

PS2 DVD original - goes to broswer for 5-10 sec then boots
PS2 DVD backup - goes to broswer for 5-10 sec then RSOD
PS2 CD backup - goes to broswer for 5-10 sec then RSOD
Movie DVD backup - goees to broswer for 5-10 sec then boots

    any idea guys?

Did you try the proper boot methods for the Duo2se? It doesn't auto detect. Try cleaning the laser.
