The S point and the A point aren't supposed to be bridged.

As for the "d0" points (commonly known as vias), just scrape them lightly with a razor (boxcutter razor works well) to get the lacquer off as well as prepare the surface for soldering. Then use some flux to help get a decent joint.

so obviously the diagram is wrong, where exactly are the solder points for S and A , would they be on the edge of the pin that's being soldered?, does anyone have a more recent diagram available?

Which diagram are you looking at? The ones that Team Omega has on their website are the diagrams I use and I see no bridging of points S and A; they're on two different areas.

Yes, the S point requires that those components be bridged. The A point isn't anywhere in the vicinity, however, which is why your question confused me.

I'm sorry, I meant those being seperate vicinities. As far as a A point is concerend, do I just solder onto the side of that black point?

Yes, solder it onto the side of the resistor.
