duo2 on v9 has to heat up
duo2 on v9 has to heat up –
This is a strange one, i've chipped a version 9 ps2 with a duo2 original chip all connections seem good, tested, etc. i've chipped 6 stations 2 with the duo2 one messiah and 2 magics but never had this problem. Anyway the problem is it dosent boot dvd-r's, i done all the usual checks and cleaned and adjusted the laser to no avail, but after the station had been on for 10 minutes i switched it off at the back and then back on pressed eject inserted dvd-r pressed reset and it booted no problem and still booted my other dvd-r's after that. but when i switch it off for a while and try it, it doesnt work again i have to let it stay on for 10 mins then switch it off and on and it works.
Any ideas what the problem is, i think i might try smaller gauge wire fo my pwr and gnd connections
It might as well be a solder point not done in a good way and it needs the PS2 to heat to become conductive.
This same issue happened once to one of my friends. He redid the soldering and the issue disappeared.
