I just installed a duo2 into a v7. When i turn on the ps2 it boots up fine and everything seems ok. But when i press the eject button the audio and video starts to loop like a broken record. I restart the ps2 and then get no audio and no video. Ive reinstalled 3 times and have tried two different chips. And keep getting the same problem. Without the chip, the ps2 still works fine though. Any ideas would be appriciated.

Show us a picture of your installation. Where did you get your chips?

i got my pics from robotpig.com, i think they may have givin me fakes Unfortunately i don't have a digital camera so i can't send pictures. Ive tried booting up the ps2 with a backup of a game in the drive and it booted fine but then froze soon after. I then got no audio and video again. Its as if the chip will only function for a few seconds before dying.

Then that could be your problem. Fake modchips are not reliable. I had a friend who had problems with many of those fake Duo 2 SE. Robotpig sells nothing but fake shet on his site. I'll bet he wouldn't even put one of his own chips in his PS2. He probably purchase a geniune chip for himself.
