duo2 gt question

hi

if you hook a duo2 gt up to 3.3v and gnd will the led provided light up if the chip is good?? what i mean is if the led doesn't light up does this mean the chip is fried??

i've fitted two now one was booting fine now has agone just black screen on start up on me, the other booted once great and now just gives me rsod.

the led isn't lighting up at all

is there any other way of telling whether a chip is good/bad without having to go through the hassle of installing it first??

I don't think there's a way to tell if the chip is good or not other than installing it.
