Duo2 Bad Install. Please Help!
I have a V7 Playstation 2.
I installed a Duo2 chip into it. However, the installation failed. First let me say that I could not manage to solder the five wires to the copper pads beside the bios chip. They simply would not stick with or without flux. So, I soldered the wires instead directly to the corresponding legs of the bios chip itself. This is the diagram: http://www.duomodchip.com/english/in.../duo2se_v7.jpg. I'm referring to area 3 in the picture.
That being said, I put the PS2 back together and it boots up the normal PS2 screen. However, there's an odd buzzing/humming noise in the background which is being emitted from the TV speakers. Not only this, but none of my original PS2 games will actually boot. Before I open it again and recheck all the connections, I would like to ask two questions:
1. Was soldering to the bios legs a bad idea for wires Q,T,U,V, and R?
2. What's the problem, most likely?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!
